I've only seen 54 of them but I actually thought it might be a lot less.
What let me down was the likes of Platoon, Apocalypse Now, etc... not big on the violent boys films.

hm, I've seen about 65 of them. I think I have a holiday project :)

Catsmum - I'm the same, actually not into any war, western or blokey type films, nor horror..

M - always wanted to get the 1000 movies to see before you die book, as well as the 1000 books to read before you die and just work my way through them. One of my holiday projects is to watch some of my DVDs and maybe write a bit about each.

I need to get out more. 87 seen. I blame it on a Great Uncle running a drive in cinema in the 70s and cheap dvds while living in Asia.

You've made me feel like I am incredibly unaccomplished with my life.

I clearly need to watch a lot more movies!

Hey I take the prize...less than half...around 44 or so...but so many of them are just not for me...so i don't have too much work to do...mff....have Doctor Zhivago and Pulp Fiction on DVD for your viewing pleasure...whenever....and I want to know WHO decides what makes the list...and WHY??? So who's over-analytical NOW Huh Huh Huh??

Sheila - hahaha, surely you jest. You can come as long as you bring all and I mean all of your wants and needs, as stated clearly I am not a domestic goddess...

Phil - you win... 87 that's mindboggling...

Eileen - just think of the fun you'll have catching up...

M - must definitely get both books, though know already that I couldn't force myself to either watch or read something just because someone else told me to...

FBG - you're funny... sorry, Dr. Z. just has never done it for, neither does Omar. And while I'd love to watch Pulp Fiction, reality is I'd spent most of the time hiding my face in my hands... as I did watching Hot Fuzz the other day. The list comes from the American Film Institute Survey of it's members.
